If this trainer gets any further back, she'll need longer reins...



Oh wait...she will just pull harder on the reins...


Seriously, this kind of crappy riding has got to stop. Ever wonder why Icelandics aren't mainstream in North America... because people who are experienced horse people look at this and think you are stupid. Bad gaited people that moved into Big Lick ride this way.

The horse's head and neck look braced and sort of leaning off to the right. Very odd; must be uncomfortable for the horse.

It's amazing that the riders don't have the "feel" to work with gaits naturally.

I´m guessing you didn´t notice that the saddle is just behind the shoulders too. This horse has a short back which makes saddle placement difficult. If a horse braces against the bit turning the head a little to the side, it´s often problems with the teeth.
